Nazareth House, which is owned and operated by the Sisters of Nazareth - a Catholic religious congregation - provides residential pastoral and nursing care for more than 50 older people.
The home of former ship building giants, the Lairds (of Camel Laird fame) the site first opened as a nursery in 1945.
HMS was appointed to deliver a phased programme of major refurbishment works to this iconic building including internal improvements. The project includes the demolition of an existing care building and the construction of a new eight-bedroom, single story wing.
Minimising the disruption on the day-to-day routine of residents has been of paramount importance throughout the project. With considerable experience of undertaking major works with residents in situ, HMS has ensured that all work is phased and that residents have been updated and consulted throughout.
