We're thrilled to have handed over our latest new-build scheme - a collection of two-bedroom homes designed to appeal to the Rent to Buy market.
Working on behalf of Torus, the region’s largest provider of affordable homes, HMS created these high-specification semi-detached properties to complete the client’s two-phase Leighton Dene scheme in Fazakerley, North Liverpool. All homes will provide first-time buyers with an affordable way to step onto the property ladder.
Arriving on site in 2018, the team began by demolishing a derelict pharmacy structure, a local eyesore in need of demolition. Working closely with architects Bowker Sadler and the Torus Developments project team, the homes were designed with modern living in mind and feature-fitted kitchens, efficient noise insulation, private gardens and high energy efficiency ratings.
HMS had to overcome unique challenges with the site due to the restrictive nature of the work area. All deliveries needed to be carefully sequenced to ensure minimal disturbance to local residents and the busy road fronting the site, for example.
The end result has already had a positive impact on the local community, providing high-quality opportunities for future home-owners. The scheme has attracted strong interest and is already fully allocated.
