HMS Secures New Educational Contract

HMS Secures New Educational Contract

Posted: 21 February 2020

We are delighted to have been awarded a contract for external environmental works at a secondary school in Leyland.

As a large school, appointing a contractor who could manage projects without interrupting daily life at the school was critical to Academy @ Worden. So HMS’ track record in managing projects on ‘live’ sites and rigorous approach to Health and Safety made all the difference.

The contract includes works to transform the external appearance of the Academy and encompasses the installation of new perimeter fencing and gates to the school’s grounds which will provide a hard boundary but also improve security measures.

Discussing the successful tender, John Barrow, Construction Director at HMS, said: “We have years of experience working within the educational sector and are dedicated to delivering high quality services which are value for money and are very much looking forward to commencing work at Academy @ Worden.

“Health and safety is our highest priority on any site but it’s especially critical where there are large numbers of people on site at any one time. We will work collaboratively with the Academy to offer a service which is specific to their needs to make sure the project is completed, on time, within budget and to an excellent standard.”

Eliot Laughton at E3 Cube Ltd, said: “As a company dedicated to providing specialist services to the education sector, it was imperative that we recommended a provider committed to delivering a high quality service, which is why we put HMS forward for the Academy @ Worden project

“Having worked with HMS previously, we knew of their dedication to customer service and knew they would be a good fit for Academy @ Worden. We’re looking forward to seeing the completed works.”
