HMS Appointed to Construction Framework for Welsh College Group

Posted: 28 April 2021

Continuing our expansion into North Wales, we're delighted to announce that we have been appointed to Grŵp Llandrillo Menai’s (GLLM) Construction Framework.

Working collaboratively as part of GLLM’s Building Construction Framework, HMS will undertake a range of construction projects and deliver works across GLLM’s portfolio of estates, including its Llangefni Campus, for a minimum of 2 years.

GLLM is a college which provides a number of educational and vocational training, including apprenticeships, to over 21,000 students across Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire and Gwynedd and HMS will utilise its vast experience in the education sector to expand capacity across GLLM’s campuses and modernise its buildings.

Following on from its success in the sector, which to date, has seen HMS complete projects at Padgate Academy in Warrington, Worden Academy in Preston and Weston Point Community Primary School in Halton, Cheshire, HMS will begin works at GLLM from April 2021.

With experience working on live sites and delivering works on time and to budget, all without interrupting the daily comings and goings of staff and students, is something HMS has mastered and works at GLLM will exemplify that.

Discussing HMS’ appointment to the framework, Construction Director, John Barrow, said: “We are thrilled to be appointed as a preferred contractor to this framework and to begin working with GLLM to evolve and grow their campus and facilities.

“We understand the importance of the built environment in supporting people’s experiences and in a learning setting, it is vital that each building and room enhances students learning. Our team is excited to help create a space conducive to success and get started on site.”
