Handing over £2.5 million Housing Development

Handing over £2.5 million Housing Development

Posted: 08 June 2021

Committed to building 200 homes this financial year, Team HMS has just completed a £2.5 million housing development in Pensby, Wirral.

Completing the build of 15 2-bedroom apartments on the site of the former Pensby Hall Residential Home, HMS has regenerated the site, providing much-needed modern, affordable homes for the local area.

HMS Director of Construction, John Barrow, said: “This is the latest new build development completed by the team and Pensby shows, categorically, that HMS can continue to deliver in the toughest of situations. This past year, the construction industry has faced challenges like never before, so the fact we are even handing this development over as forecasted, is testament to the commitment and dedication of the team.

“Their tenacity reassures me that we will hit our target of building 200 homes this coming year and it is this positive attitude that has seen our construction programme grow to become one of our most profitable income streams and HMS become one of the region’s fastest growing contractors.”

Pensby is the second new build project HMS has completed this year and precedes four other housing developments we will hand over to the North West’s largest provider of affordable homes, Torus, in 2021.

Discussing the organisation’s ongoing partnership, Managing Director of Torus Developments, Chris Bowen, continued: “HMS is a partner of choice for many reasons. Not only does their work ethic and experience ensure projects are completed ‘right first time’, but their investment in local communities by creating employment and training opportunities on sites and their commitment to work with local supply chains and subcontractors ensures any profits generated are redistributed to local people.

“With a number of confirmed projects due to complete or start on site this year alone, HMS’ continued expansion and ambitious growth will only continue to benefit people across the North West.”
