HMS has been awarded a three-year contract to provide essential property maintenance services for a Liverpool housing association.
Steve Biko Housing Association, which provides affordable homes primarily for Black & Racial Minority people in housing need, has chosen HMS to maintain its housing stock, located across the South Inner City.
The contract commences in April 2017 and will cover all aspects of responsive and planned works at Steve Biko’s family homes, sheltered accommodation and general needs flats.
HMS has provided full gas servicing and maintenance works to Steve Biko for the last two years. In that time, the company has proven its ability to deliver cohesive, efficient services on behalf of SBHA’s tenants.
HMS Managing Director Paul Worthington said: “We are pleased to have won the contract with Steve Biko. This latest award reflects our ambition and ability to expand property maintenance works without compromising on the customer experience.
“HMS operates differently than other contractors – we see ourselves as a Customer Services company delivering sector-leading Maintenance and Construction services.
“Our partnership approach with clients and communities tailors solutions to meet local needs and sees all our profits reinvested back into meaningful social projects.”
Tracy Gore, Director at Steve Biko Housing Association, said: “The appointment of HMS, who will already be familiar to our tenants after providing gas servicing and maintenance for the past couple of years, will provide a more enhanced and customer friendly service to our tenants. It will offer our tenants appointments at dates and times to suit them, at the same time as providing Value for Money.”
Last year saw HMS complete 50,000 reactive repairs for housing associations across the North West. Operatives use the latest planning and communication software to minimise repair times, ensuring that works are completed in an average of seven days.
With around 40,000 homes across Merseyside, Cheshire and West Lancashire, efficient gas servicing is a priority for North West housing group Torus.
Torus group’s Ogden’s Place development in Everton was named Affordable Housing Scheme of the Year at last week’s Northern Housing Awards.
Leading North West construction specialist HMS has handed over its latest new-build scheme - a collection of two-bedroom homes designed to appeal to the Rent to Buy market.
