Beechwood Gardens

Project: Residential Properties
Location: Grassendale, South Liverpool
Client: Liverpool Mutual Homes
Partners: BTP Architects
Value: £680k
Duration: 6 months

Works Description:
HMS undertook a complete external redevelopment of two blocks of maisonettes – both tenanted while work was being completed.

Work comprised of:

  • Creating new communal and private garden areas
  • Boundary wall treatments
  • Fencing
  • Turfing
  • Tarmacking
  • Drainage works
  • Bin store improvements
  • Installation of cycle lockers

Throughout the works, HMS updated and consulted residents to ensure their ideas and requirements were incorporated into the development. It was a priority that everyone living in the maisonettes would benefit from the work being carried out and would be given the opportunity to influence the redevelopment as a whole.

As a live site, health and safety was paramount to the redevelopment of Beechwood Gardens and as a CHAS accredited contractor, HMS ensured tenants adhered to all health and safety regulations, while remaining approachable, understanding and reactive to the needs of each.

HMS’ customer-focused approach to the completion of Beechwood Gardens saw the project team express their satisfaction at how the scheme was managed and delivered, with one counsellor saying; “We’re very happy with the scheme and HMS even offered to tidy existing trees on the land as well as brush the roads surrounding Beechwood Gardens.”
